I love taking pictures. It seems like memories are sweeter when you document them with a camera. Personally, I never want to forget anything. That's why I’m so passionate about capturing life and the essence of the people around me. 

 

I’ve been a professional photographer for over 20 years. A few months after graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Michigan with a BFA in Photography, I was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. Since then, I've won hundreds of top industry awards and have been nationally recognized for my photography, illustrations, and design. Among them, acclaim from Nikon, Society of News Design, National Press Photographers Association, the California, North Carolina & Michigan Press Photographer Associations, and the Associated Press as well as winning Michigan College Photographer of the Year. Through all my different adventures, I've always come back to my camera. I love documenting life. My eye is always making compositions, taking snapshots of kids laughing in the park... I get drawn in towards beautiful light.
